Day Into the Life of Lauren Suthers

Hi, I'm Lauren Suthers and will be 12 years old in about 1 week. I'm so excited, however I am kinda bummed though as One Direction can't come sing at my birthday party. :( HAHA! LOL! Wouldn't that just be crazy if they could? Someday Lauren, Someday!

Well, what can I tell you about me?  I've been interested in entertaining at a very young age.  I got my first taste when I took the stage in a ballet recital at the age of 3.  Ever since then there was no turning back!  I appeared in “The Wizard of Oz”, for Broadway Starz, & the Nutcracker which led me to wanting more.  I was lead in short films such as; “Hide & Seek”, “Monster”, and featured in “Operation Terror”.
About two years ago, I found my voice.  It has been an amazing journey of where my voice has taken me so far and the feeling I get knowing I can make a difference using it, as well as, being able to express myself freely.  I am an Antibullian with ADPC/Wesley Roby, bringing knowledge to all ages on how to Stop Bullying through song and create an avenue to not only help those being bullied, but give bully's an understanding they can change.  I'm so excited as our first album "Antibullians" was released this past February and my song is #2 "Why do you do what you do?" on the album.  With "Famous" my first single it is a song about believing in yourself, having fun and never giving up!

It has been a very busy summer so far. In the recording studio, for my second single Feat. Keyz, which I think everyone is going to love. It should be releasing in about 2 weeks. I've been going on auditions, dancing, singing, vocal training with Showdown Studios and attending live events, such as; Nu Skool Sings Old School, a series of Live Showcases featuring talented kids, founded by Brandy Sanders - the Keirrah Foundation.  My dream would be to put a record out one day and work more in television.
I am a Hip Hop Dancer training at Murrieta Dance Project and on the Company Team.  We not only compete at dance competitions, but attend training intensives like Jump. I enjoy every bit of it.  7th grader coming this August and my favorite subject is Music/Band. I was the only 6th grader who was allowed to conduct the Band when the teacher stepped away. Such a great feeling! Playing the flute & drums was fun, but maybe the clarinet this year hhhmmm....
We've been back and forth a lot to LA with mom and dad, but never to busy to visit Hollywood Blvd. It's one of my favorite spots...I have a star there in mind.
Thank you for reading my blog.

XO lil L

Maya Wassermann's Pulse on Tour Experience

Hi! I'm Maya I'm 13 years old from New Jersey. I dance at Broadway Dance Center in New York City.I've been dancing since the age of was 2 and a half. I've had the privilege to work with Tyce Dioro and many other amazing choreographers. The first time I met all the amazing choreographers was at a convention called The Pulse on Tour. It was my first time attending, so I didn't know how much to expect. It ended up being one of the best experiences of my life!I pulled up to the Atlantic City Convention Center, It was really crowded and I could see hundreds of people out of the window from outside. I jumped out of the car carrying by bag that was probably all filled with water bottles. I went up to the table to register my number, I was number 830.Not too bad considering that people where in the thousands. Still full of energy, I climbed up the stairs and made my way into the ballroom. I didn't know anyone there. I just sat on the floor stretching like all the other kids there. Soon enough we were called to the Intermediate ballroom for the Introduction. It was a good way to start off a great weekend. We headed back to our original ballroom and started the warm up. The first class was with Robert Hoffman. He choreographed a dance to Good Vibrations.   After we did the whole dance in groups about 3 times, Robert called out numbers. I was the first one to be called out on the list. I couldn't believe it! It was the first class and I was called out with my partner. I was so excited. We did the combo twice and then the class was over. My day just got even better. They next class we took was with Tyce Dioro. Tyce's combo was for the Advance Pro room but he taught us the combo anyways. It was to the song, "I wont give up." It was a fun but challenging combo. We went on a lunch break after that class. I made a bunch of friends and we went to go get some pizza from downstairs. We ate quickly because we wanted good spots in the ballroom. Laurieann taught the next class. That class we so hard but so much fun! She taught a combo to "All I do is win." I was called out in this class too! Almost no one go this combo right! It was really hard! (None of us got it either) After that class, we took Cris's class.  I had a lot of fun in his class. To end a great pulse day, I had Brooke Lipton's Class. Brooke's class had a ton of energy and if you didn't run, you were in trouble! She is so nice though! our combo was to "Take to the Sky."  I was called out for this combo and did the combo with some Proteges. That was a wrap for the first day! I went to ready for the Pulse Performance. I performed a solo and I was in the opening number. After the show, I met up with some friends and we exchanged numbers and I went back to the hotel to get ready for tomorrow. The next day I was rested a ready to go! Our first class was with Desmond. I love him so much! He is amazing and so was his class! I got called to perform the combo with a few other dancers. At this point, I was hoping I would get a scholarship. It was time to take Gil's class and I was very excited! It was really fun :) After the class was over I got a quick sip of water and hurried back to get a good spot because it was Brian Friedman's class next! I love Brain Friedman's class, I took it last year in Vegas, the choreography was so awesome! This time we did a combo to "You Make Me Feel". I was called out to preform it for a chance to get a scholarship. It was amazing!  We had Dave Scott's next. We taught us the "famous" dance to "The Motto." It is such a cool and awesome dance! I got called out for this combo too. Our last class for the day was Tyce's class (again). He taught us a fun combo to "Put it in a Love Song." I was called out for this combo too and I stood front and center! After his class was over, it was the scholarship ceremony. I got a scholarship for to attend a regional tour for free next year, an invitation to the intensive and a Scholarship to NYC Summer!!! It was a Ton of fun and I recommend this convention to everyone!
Shine on! xoxo
